Why give?
To honor our past, preserve our present excellence, extend
our outreach to future generations.
Now, more than ever, we depend on the alumni and friends of the Department of Computer Science. The economic climate in which the department operates has changed dramatically since the year 2000. Government funding, which once covered 80% of our budget, now provides only 20% of our funding. In order to continue to flourish as one of the top computer science departments in the country, we depend on the generosity of our alumni and friends. Your gifts, large or small, enable us to uphold our distinguished past, maintain excellent educational and research opportunities for our current students and faculty, and cultivate our outreach to future generations.
Your gift to the Computer Science Annual Fund, helps
To Serve Our Students:
To Serve Our Faculty:
- By enabling faculty to pursue path-breaking research that preserves our position as a one of the country's premier computer science departments
- By supporting faculty as they develop innovative programs
that transcend the boundaries separating computer science from
humanistic disciplines and that bring together art, music, culture, and computer science
- By supporting our named chairs, professorships, and faculty awards
To Serve Our Future Generations:
