Dear Friends, As the Associate Director for Public Engagement, I endeavor to advance our corporate relations and public service engagements. We live in a world where computer technology is at the heart of almost every intellectual discipline and business enterprise. In such a world, it is my pleasure, and privilege, to help foster vital connections between your company and the core of our excellence: our students and our faculty. Our faculty, alumni and students have long been at the forefront of modern computing. Our students are among the most highly recruited on campus and are prized by companies worldwide. Industry support adds a dynamism and vitality to our educational and research missions. Our halls, classrooms, and labs literally come alive with industry presence throughout the academic year. And, in keeping with the University's public service mission, we welcome engagements with non-profits and national labs as well.
